Ford Sport Trac Adrenalin
Ford comes out with the new Sport Trac Adrenalin for the custom vehicle enthusiast.
Ford Sport Trac goes from the tough and dirty adventure vehicle you're familiar with to a mean and clean street machine with the new Sport Trac Adrenalin, an aggressively styled all-new street tuner.
There are people who love their vehicles. And there are people who really love their vehicles and want to show them off with "customized" flair. For them, the usual stock production model just doesn't cut it. These are Sport Trac Adrenalin drivers.
Whether parked or out on the road, no matter where it is, Sport Trac Adrenalin is going to turn a lot of heads. It's a truck you don't need to drive to enjoy -- it's that great looking. And adding some real sweet icing to the cake, the Adrenalin is factory-built to Ford's high-quality design and production standards.
Adrenalin Tour - Adrenalin's customization goes all around. Fittingly, the tour begins up front with the unique black crosshatch-style grille flanked by blackout headlamps, unique ground effects-style fascia with air dam and circular fog lamps.
Moving along to the sides, Adrenalin presents more unique features: fenders with vents seamlessly integrated with the front fascia; and built-in running boards (not add-on step bars) that visually connect with the front and rear fascias.
At the rear, designers departed from Sport Trac's side-exit exhaust pipe in favor of one that comes out the back of the unique fascia with dual-rolled chrome tips.
And those fabulous wheels! It's the 20" polished aluminum wheels on low-profile tires that bring it all together into one giant rush of styling adrenalin.
Sport Trac Adrenalin is distinguished not only by what it has, but also by what it doesn't. The absence of wheellip moldings and roof rack -- Ford designers made these omissions deliberately to accentuate Adrenalin's low, sleek look.
Available colors: Choose Black, White Suede, Silver Birch or Colorado Red. You might find the Colorado Red especially appealing. A uniquely deep red paint without metallic flaking, it's a really rich genuine "custom" color.
Stepping inside, you'll see a Charcoal Black interior with leather-trimmed seats, Medium Light Stone headliner, circle check film appliqué, and Adrenalin-branded floor mats.
Powerteams and Powertrains - Sport Trac Adrenalin offers two power paths: a standard 4.0L V6 with 5-speed automatic rated at 210 horsepower @ 5,100 rpm and 254 lbs./ft. of torque @ 3,700 rpm; or an optional 4.6L 3-valve V8 with 6-speed automatic rated at 292 horsepower @ 5,750 rpm and 300 lbs./ft. of torque @ 3,950 rpm.
Powertrain choices are standard 4x2 (rear-wheel drive) or optional full-time, fully automatic All-Wheel Drive (AWD) that instantly delivers traction to the wheels needing it most. AWD is an Adrenalin exclusive feature in the Sport Trac lineup.
The Adrenalin shares with its Sport Trac siblings all other features including standard 4-wheel anti-lock brakes and AdvanceTrac® with RSC® (Roll Stability Control™).
Adrenalin Arrival - The Sport Trac Adrenalin will be revealed at the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) Show to be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, October 30 to November 2, 2007. It'll be available in Ford dealer showrooms beginning January, 2008.
Is the Sport Trac Adrenalin the truck you'd really like to be seen driving around in? Your local Ford Dealer has all the details on how to get one.

The Ford F-250 Super Chief concept takes truck leadership to
a new level as the world's first vehicle with Tri-Flex fueling, enabling the
supercharged V-10 to run for 500 miles between fill-ups on hydrogen, E85 ethanol
or gasoline.
The tri-fuel flexibility is one possible innovation by Ford to help pave the way
for hydrogen vehicles, as the nation's ethanol and hydrogen fueling infrastructure
continues to develop.
The concept truck and its name are inspired by the bold, American Super Chief
trains of the nation's past. Super Chief is Ford's most advanced, well-appointed
pickup ever – designed to build on the standard for interior excellence established
by the new F-150.
Super Chief features an interior paneled in American walnut, brushed aluminum and
bold brown leather. Convenience features include bold light-emitting diode (LED)
headlamps, a full glass roof and automated ottoman.
Running on hydrogen, the supercharged V-10 engine provides up to 12 percent
fuel economy improvement on an energy equivalent basis versus a non-supercharged
gasoline V-10 – and nearly 500 miles per fill-up. In addition, when operating on
hydrogen, the Tri-Flex V-10 generates 99 percent less CO2 emissions than when
running on gasoline.
The Tri-Flex system leverages existing powertrain technologies in
which Ford has long held leadership. Since 1996, Ford has led in
production and sales of flex-fuel E85 ethanol/gasoline vehicles. Ford
has built more than 1.6 million flex-fuel vehicles that operate on any
mix of E85 and gasoline.
The Ford F-250 Super Chief epitomizes bold, American design and features
an innovative Tri-Flex fuel engine that can run on hydrogen, E85 or gasoline.

Ford Bronco Concept Truck
The legendary Bronco is back as Ford re-explores the origins of the sport utility vehicle in a concept
making its debut at the 2004 North American International Auto Show. Although only a concept,
the Bronco demonstrates how Ford could further complement its extensive SUV lineup that
includes Escape, Explorer, Expedition and Excursion.
Design
The Bronco concept strikes a familiar profile of the authentic SUVs of the late 1960s and at
the same time is contemporary, appealing and relevant for today’s market. The Bronco concept
adds modern technologies to an original theme for a fresh new approach. The headlamps use LED
and halogen light sources to cast a wider beam for better peripheral vision in off-road situations.
The Ford name is integrated into the tailgate that swings open to the side, allowing easy access
to the rear cargo area. The taillamps are rectangular and feature LED lights in a cascaded array.
Bronco sits on LT 265/70R18 Goodyear all-terrain tires mounted on specially cut 18-inch, six-spoke
aluminum wheels that convey the confidence to carry it over any surface in any condition. A full-size
spare tire is mounted in the rear cargo area.
Powerful Diesel Punch – With a Little Extra Kick
The Ford Bronco concept is powered by a proven 2.0-liter common-rail Duratorq TDCi engine from Ford’s
European product range. This 16-valve turbo diesel combines outstanding power, torque, smoothness and
exceptional fuel economy in a compact package, helping to change public expectations about diesel engines.
Using the latest common-rail fuel-injection technology, the 128 horsepower (130 PS) engine delivers peak
torque of 244 lb-ft (330 Nm) at a relatively low 1,800 rpm – an ideal quality for off-roading or urban driving.
Ford has engineered the engine technology to deliver overboost that provides an extra surge of power on
driver demand for situations such as hill climbing. Overboost generates an even higher torque
of 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) for a limited time under full throttle.
Sophisticated, electronically controlled injectors are central to the Bronco concept’s common-rail system.
The system delivers fuel at extremely high pressure – up to 20,300 psi (1,400 bar) – to the injectors.
The fuel is delivered to the cylinders with high precision and control that results in greater performance
and torque and excellent fuel economy.
A Nitrous "Kick"
The use of nitrous oxide (N2O) as a performance enhancement dates back to World War II, when it was
employed to give Allied aircraft "emergency" boosts in both airspeed and altitude capabilities.
On the new Ford Bronco concept, a stream of nitrous oxide is injected into the engine’s cylinders as
long as the N2O button is held down, providing up to a temporary 50-hp boost and a three-second
improvement in quarter-mile times, with 10-15 mph more top speed.
Outstanding Diesel Powertrain
The PowerShift transmission makes an ideal partner for the Duratorq TDCi engine. Even efficient,
lightweight turbochargers can induce a noticeable delay in torque rise on tip-in because of
inertia – the so-called "turbo lag." A twin clutch transmission like the PowerShift offers an
advantage because of its lower inertia compared with a typical torque converter, minimizing
the effect of turbo lag. In addition, the diesel’s low-end torque will allow lower launch rpm,
which results in a shorter duration of clutch slip at launch for quicker acceleration.
Diesel engines tend to have differently shaped horsepower and torque curves than gasoline
engines, making it desirable to adjust the step size between transmission gears accordingly.
Here again, the PowerShift transmission, like all layshaft-based transmissions, offers an
advantage. Internal gear sets can be changed easily during development, allowing the efficiencies
of common transmission architecture, while optimizing gear ratios for both engine types.
While the shifting is automatic, the PowerShift transmission on the Bronco concept also can be
placed in manual mode, with sporty Formula 1-style shifting, using a pair of control paddles on
the steering wheel.
Intelligent™ 4WD System
The new fully automatic Intelligent™ 4WD System on the Bronco concept will be seen in production first
on the 2005 Ford Escape. It replaces the current Control Trac II™ System and offers better traction
and vehicle stability, improved fuel economy and smoother operation.
The Intelligent 4WD System uses a fully computer-controlled clutch that engages the rear wheels
only as needed. In normal conditions, the Bronco concept is driven by its front wheels. Using
sensors at each wheel and at the accelerator pedal, the system’s computer calculates – dozens
of times per second – exactly how much torque to send to the rear wheels to minimize slip. It
can even predict slip and preclude it from happening at all.
The Intelligent 4WD System eliminates one of the drawbacks of other four-wheel-drive systems
tuned aggressively for maximum traction, which is a binding effect during tight turns and a
feeling of driveline harshness when the system engages. The Intelligent 4WD System can sense
tight turns and continuously vary torque to the rear wheels at all speeds, offering the
benefits of a "locked" four-wheel-drive system without any of the drawbacks.
